An Officer and Gentlewoman, LLC Announces Location for 2019 Miss DC for America and Mrs. DC for America Pageant.
/2-1-2019 Washington, DC An Officer and Gentlewoman, LLC (AOAGWLLC) the Veteran-owned production company that produces the Miss DC for America and Mrs. DC America pageant, has made an announcement that they will be holding the pageant at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (Family Theater). The pageant will be held at 7pm on April 14, 2019. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
Unveiled on December 9, 2005, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' new 324-seat Family Theater (formerly the Film Theater) provides a new home for world-class family theater performances and continues the Kennedy Center's $125 million commitment to performing arts education for adults and children alike.
“We are excited to have the Miss DC for America and Mrs. DC America pageant here at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. This will be an historical night because this is the first time our pageant has been held there,” states Raquel Riley Thomas, the owner of AOAGWLLC.
Community leaders from around the DC metro area are expected to attend the event. The production will be presented by ThomasRiley Strategies, LLC, listed on Inc. magazines top 5000 companies in America. Rick “The Voice” Bernstein, will co-host the pageant alongside DC radio host, Dr. Renee Allen, “The People’s Emcee.” The reigning queen, Leiah Rocheleau, will crown her successor and she will also crown the first ever Miss DC for America.
The winners of Miss DC for America and Mrs. DC America will move on to their respective national pageants, Miss for America and Mrs. America, in August. The national pageants will be held at the Westgate Hotel in Las, Vegas.
The Miss DC for America and Mrs. DC America publicly recognizes women, living or working within a 25-mile radius of DC, who have obtained personal, professional, and community achievements. As official preliminary pageants to Miss for America and Mrs. America, respectively, the pageants welcome women from all ethnic backgrounds to compete in a yearly pageant for the titles.
