AOAGWLLC INTRODUCES “QUEEN V DAY” TO PAMPER FEMALE VET

11/5/19 Washington, D.C. An Officer and Gentlewoman, LLC is accepting nominations from the public to recognize a deserving Veteran for a day of pampering. The project called “Queen V Day” will pamper one female Veteran with complimentary services to include: hairstyling, makeup services, fashion styling and lunch.

The idea came to the owner of AOAGWLLC, Raquel Riley Thomas while she was getting her own hair styled at a salon, Hair Meets Art. Riley Thomas, a United States Army Veteran herself, started talking to her hairstylist, Artcye Dozier about how nice it would be to give the same service to one of her fellow comrades. Dozier loved the idea and was the first to sign her salon up for complimentary hair services. Next to sign on was makeup artist, Schnelle Jefferson, owner of Faithgirl Beauty Studios, located in Silver Spring, Maryland.

“Queen V Day is a day to show our gratitude to a female Veteran for her commitment and sacrifice. She served our country, now we will serve her,” states Riley Thomas.

To be eligible for the service, the Veteran must have an honorable discharge status from the military on her DD214 (must show proof). She must live within a 25-mile radius of Washington DC. The deadline for nominations is November 7, 2019 at 5pm.
