Ryan Cameron Remembers Beloved Atlanta Radio Personality, Wanda Smith
ATLANTA, GA – Ryan Cameron, two-time Emmy-winning radio personality, reflects on the profound loss of his long-time colleague and friend, Wanda Smith. A cherished voice on the airwaves for decades, Wanda's impact on the city of Atlanta transcended generations.
Ryan shared the following statement:
"The impact of what Wanda meant to the city as a constant voice on the airwaves is immeasurable. People who were 5 years old are now in their 30s, people who were 20 are now 50+, and those who were 35 are now in their 60s. We literally had a bird’s eye view into her life. My condolences are with her sons, Geo and Tavares; her sister, Janice; and her mother.”
"She will surely be missed for her ability to never meet a stranger, her kind heart, her infectious laugh, and the way she embraced—and was embraced by—the city of Atlanta. We were able to bring love and laughter to the morning show for many years and I’ll always cherish that. We love you, Wandaful."
